Taco Seasoning

This classic taco seasoning can be added to so many things! Though my family loves taco night, we also love the taste of anything with a spanish flare to it, so I often add this in to my grilled meats, veggies & soups.

taco seasoning

Taco seasoning is one of the hardest to find on the commercial market without lots of added ingredients that aren’t necessary. Even the ones that say ‘natural flavors’ generally contain extras that you don’t need or want. Most of them have a thickening agent in them to give your meat a special sauce. You can do that simply by adding in lime juice & liquid smoke, like I do in this classic street taco recipe.

Get ready, because you & your family will love this seasoning. You’ll be mixing it up a lot but it’s so fast & simple you won’t even mind.

Taco Seasoning

3 tablespoons chili powder
3 tablespoons cumin
3 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon granulated garlic
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

*use all organic if possible

combine all ingredients in a large glass mason jar & shake to combine.

shake each time you use this seasoning mix as the smaller ingredients will settle to the bottom of the jar.

Use 1 heaping tablespoon of seasoning mix per 1 pound of ground meat if using for taco meat.
